Founded as Kandler Tool Company in 1975, the business was acquired by Clark Logic in April 2025, and rebranded as Kandler Tool Services.
Clark Logic acquired Midwest Realty Group in December 2024, an acquisition that included MRG's business services, brokerage, property management, tools and equipment, trucks, trailers, and industrial supplies. Midwest Realty Group operates as a subsidiary under Clark Logic at 2314 Helen Avenue in Portage, Michigan. Clark Logic Director of Leasing and Development, Matt Conlee leads the real estate operations for the collective entities.
J&L X-Press Services, LLC is Clark Logic's flagship trucking and transportation fleet. Acquired by Clark Logic in 2013, J&L X-Press has been servicing the Kalamazoo area and the Midwest since the early 1980's.
With years of trucking experience, J&L X-Press provides a wide range of flexible, efficient, and affordable transportation and freight solutions. Our goal is to grow and foster long-term, successful relationships with our many satisfied customers.
A Clark Logic company since 2021, F.W. Burns has provided mail contracting services in Kalamazoo for nearly five decades. As a trusted mail transportation carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, our F.W. Burns team delivers superior service with a reputation for efficiency and dependability.
Industrial Partners USA (IPUSA) is a joint venture between Clark Logic and South Bend based Great Lakes Capital. IPUSA has focused on the development of industrial and warehouse assets along the I-94 corridor in West Michigan. Since the commencement of their first spec building in 2020, IPUSA has successfully leased 1.1M square feet of Class A industrial space across three projects during construction or shortly after completion.
LDS was founded in 2001 by the late Brad Lindsey and his wife, Becky Moise, who served as the company’s President through 2024. Becky’s grandfather started Graff Trucking in Kalamazoo in 1944. LDS ran as an owner-operator business for its first five years and changed to all-employee in 2006. Also in 2006, the LDS operations and maintenance building was constructed at 1235 Shakespeare Avenue near the I-94 Business Loop. On August 25, 2008, Brad unexpectedly passed away at his home. Becky continued to lead and grow the company for the next 16 years. Becky’s son, Tommy Moise, continues to work for Clark Logic today. LDS was acquired by Clark Logic in April 2024.
Phil Hoffine Trucking was started in 1973 with one truck and one trailer in Constantine, Michigan, primarily delivering agricultural products to mills in southwest Michigan. The company was officially incorporated as P & P Transportation (named for Phil & Pam Hoffine) in 1977 and became a licensed common carrier with authority to haul goods anywhere in the United States in 1980. P & P Transportation’s first customer was Fibre Converters in Three Rivers Michigan. Over the next 45 years, the company grew to 35 total employees, 20 tractors, and 95 trailers. P & P Transportation was acquired by Clark Logic in October 2022.
Founded in 2004 by Jack and Suzanne Short, Short Transit began with a single owner-operator and a trailer. The business grew to more than 15 owner-operators, serving the Midwest and later expanding into Texas, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The company specialized in hauling scrap cardboard, along with freight of all kinds (FAK). After 40+ years in the trucking industry, Jack retired. Following the sale of an older trailer, the company was sold to Clark Logic in 2021. Jack's son, Ezra Short, continues to work for Clark Logic today.
At its core, Team Manufacturing and Supply (TEAM) began as a manufacturing resource for a variety of industries. Located in Three Rivers, Michigan, TEAM is one of only a few manufacturing services companies in Southwest Michigan that offers a full range logistics, project management, service sourcing, assembly, warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and delivery services. TEAM was acquired by Clark Logic in 2019.
Total Transportation Systems (TTS) was purchased in 2016, expanding Clark Logic's fleet services.
iTrailer was founded in 2009 as part of CMS Logistics, which was rebranded to Clark Logic in 2015. Initially created as a full-service trailer rental and equipment leasing company, iTrailer offers a superior selection of safe and reliable trailers, storage containers, and equipment. These services continue today under the Clark Logic brand.
CMS Green was founded in 2011 as a division focused on cardboard and materials recycling, driven by Jamie Clark's deep passion for sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Clark Logic has since expanded its recycling operations, most notably investing in an industrial cardboard/paper baler and two roll shear guillotines in 2024.
CMS Logistics served as an early predecessor to Clark Logic. When Jamie Clark joined his father's company in 1996, CMS began expanding its services, leading to the establishment of CMS Logistics, LLC. The company transitioned from focusing primarily on warehousing to offering a broader range of logistics solutions.
Central Manufacturing Services (CMS) was founded in 1969 by Jamie Clark's father, James E. Clark ("Big Jim"), and his grandfather, Charles E. Clark, in Three Rivers, Michigan. The company started with a warehouse on E. Broadway Street and serviced Continental Can for over 35 years.
