Rust Inhibiting Aqueous Dunnage Washing Detergents

If your dunnage is constructed of steel, a compatible rust inhibitor should be added to the detergent to maximize corrosion protection.

An amine-based liquid rust inhibitor, used in conjunction with detergent, is safe for use on metals including aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, iron, steel, and composites in addition to plastics and rubbers.

Nitrite-based liquid rust inhibitors can also be used in conjunction with detergents to prevent corrosion. These are safe for use on metals including aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, iron, steel and composites as well as, plastics and rubbers.

Do not mix with amines or amine-containing substances. And never mix amine containing and nitrite containing solutions.
